ALL of our Pregnancy Help Services are FREE  

We support anyone and everyone who may require practical assistance, information, or support during pregnancy and early childhood.

Services may vary between branches depending on local community needs and available resources, however all Pregnancy Help branches provide core practical support services for whānau and tamariki.

Information and Support

Pregnancy Help can provide information, guidance, and support to pregnant people, parents, caregivers, and whānau.

We can help connect you with information about pregnancy, parenting, baby care, and local support services available within your community.

Our support is welcoming, confidential, and non-judgmental.

Practical Assistance for Pēpi and Tamariki

Pregnancy Help provides practical assistance by supplying essential baby and maternity items for whānau.

Items may include:

• Baby clothing and newborn starter packs
• Maternity clothing
• Bassinets and safe sleep support
• Pēpi-Pod support
• Baby baths and bedding
• Nappies and baby care items
• Blankets, towels, and other baby essentials

We support pēpi and tamariki up to approximately 2 years of age, with some branches going beyond these early years.

Availability of items may vary from branch to branch depending on donations and stock levels.

Community Referrals

Pregnancy Help can refer clients to other appropriate community and social support services where additional support may be needed.

This may include referrals to:

• Foodbanks
• Maternity and health services
• Budgeting and financial mentoring services
• Housing and social support providers
• Whānau and community support organisations

Where possible, our team may also assist with helping whānau connect with these services or arrange appointments.

Additional Local Services

Many Pregnancy Help branches also offer additional programmes and services tailored to the needs of their local communities.

Donations Welcome

Pregnancy Help relies heavily on the generosity of local communities to continue supporting whānau across Aotearoa.

Donations of good quality baby clothing, maternity wear, bedding, and baby equipment are always gratefully received.

All donated items are distributed directly to whānau and tamariki who need them most.
